Based on your identified issue, you have determined that screening for post-partum depression needs to be addressed at the clinic.

Your QI project has incremental increases in PPD screening on follow up visits (both at 2 weeks and 6 weeks) to ensure every patient is assessed. This will help identify PPD and get needed treatment for those patients exhibiting depressive symptoms.

You have been given baseline data that was used to determine the need for a screening tool. You have now trained staff and implemented screening and are using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). The EPDS was administered at two weeks and then again at six weeks. In your dataset, the variables EPDS_Q1_2wk - EPDS_score_2wk provide data from the EPDS administered in the two week follow up period.

Variables EPDS_Q1_6wk - EPDS_score_6wk data for the EPDS administered at the six week follow up period. Analyze data using descriptive, frequency, and graphing methods. You will also use t-tests to analyze data. Other analyses to consider include correlational analysis, descriptive (mean, SD, etc.) and frequency (modes/percentages) analysis for individual survey items at 2 & 6 weeks and other variables of interest.
