1. Create 3 histograms using the provided data set (the first one should have recommended # of bars and the two additional histograms will be your choice of the number of bars). (Hint use one with smaller bins and one with bigger bins). (Hint – Try to edit the Data(bin) field under Dimensions) Your objective is to use the number of bars to illustrate how a set of data can be conveyed differently based on how the information is presented.  

 

 

2. Create a XY scatter plot of the BMI vs. Caloric Intake data. You are trying to predict BMI from the Caloric Intake. Make sure BMI and Caloric Intake are on the correct axis. Make sure you include the equation for the regression line, the regression line, and the R value.

 

 

3.   For the 3 data sets provided for question #3.  Present the data in an effective way. You may use more than one figure for (a), (b), and (c).

4. Using the WHO COVID data draw a figure similar to figure 3 (World Bank) from Lab 3.

a. This should have a filter for the WHO region

b. You should show the cumulative total and the cumulative total per 1 million people.

 

5. Using the COVID real data from WHO provided to  draw the following two maps. These maps should have a filter for the WHO Region.

a. A color map showing the cumulative cases total per 1 million people 

b. A symbol map showing the cumulative cases total per 1 million people

c. Is the filter helpful?

d. Discuss which is a better display.
