Jerome enjoys the sport of free running in which he runs through the urban landscape of the city to test his athletic abilities. On his favorite course, Jerome has to run up a ramp to the top of a 5 ft wall. From there he jumps up to a fire escape that is 15 ft off the ground. He then runs up the fire escape steps to the top of a 19 ft building, ceress the building to the other side, then down to a nearby building which is 16 ft. high. After crossing the 12 ft roof of this building, Jerome shimmies down the rain gutter for 12 f1, and slides down a drain spout to a spot on the ground which is 8 ft. from the base of the building.
For Jerome's practice course to meet competition requirements it must be at least 85 ft. in length. Use what you know about right triangles and the measurements given to find the total length of Jerome's course. The actual course is marked by a dotted line in the figure above.
Create the 5 triangles needed to determine the total length of Jerome's course. Show all of your work. Be sure a label each triangle. (10 points per triangle)
