INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

Role: Client Funds Accountant Situation:

We have timesheet data from our client base which we need to convert into billable rows of data for upload into Xero.

I have provided you with the following information which I would like you to transform into the sample lines of data within the spreadsheet:

• Timesheet data

• Billing rate table

• Client billing rates

Corporate knowledge that helps to complete the task:

• A sleepover is charged at a flat rate regardless of when it occurs and for what period of time

• If a new client isn’t present in the billing information they are started on Level 1 rates

What is required:

Step one

Create the detailed billing information in the timesheet tab. This should be done in column M-O. I have done one row to show you the outcome and removed the formulas I used. Note cells M1, N1 and O1 have comments to help guide you.

Step two

Create a summary of the clients invoiced amount so we can see the total amount billed by billing rate and client. You’ll note I have created a sample set of data based off my one line of timesheet detailed information.

Please note, we are as much interested in your approach to this task as your outcome. Therefore, please note down the steps you have undertaken to achieve this outcome. It is preferred you leave all formulas in the spreadsheet so we can see how you have arrived at each step.

You will have 24 hours from receiving this file to complete the task and return to the InLife HR team.
