Mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease typically depend upon mutations in APP, PSEN1&2, Tau, and APOe4.

We hypothesize that, in addition to these gene mutations, changes ¡n genes associated with

oxidative stress, inflammation, and insulin metabolism are key components to emulating neuro

degeneration seen ¡n humans.

To test this hypothesis, I will find sequence data for 3 differing mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease and perform sequence analysis that will:

i.Characterize the changes in genome across each of the three models using appropriate statistics and probability theory.
