Here are some details to be taken into account for the code.
(1) Defining the domain:
Total domain length = 124.167 cm
(2) Use the data from column L_A1 in excel file as the input signal. I would like to inject this signal after 36.78 cm in the domain. This is where I am stuck. :(

Perhaps we need to implement a source term to maintain the mass balance?
