Project Proposal
Before you start working on your project you need to submit a project proposal. To help you with this there is a project proposal template that you need to complete fully.
You must complete and submit your proposal for approval before your main assessment will be unlocked. You must submit this in the assessment centre and you Associate Tutor will mark it as “Approved” once your proposal is suitable for the task. Once your proposal is “Approved” your assessment submission portal will be unlocked and you can start you research project.
Please note that you will not be able to commence your research project until you have received an “Approved” grade. Please take the time to complete the form fully using the guidance later in this guide.
Assessment Approach
This assessment requires you to complete a research project that addresses the 12 tasks set out in the assessment brief. It is essentially a mini dissertation which requires you to conduct a literature review, generate a research question, conduct primary and secondary research, carry out data analysis and provide conclusions and recommendations
As you are working at Level 7, the emphasis is on critical analysis, evaluation, bringing in a wide range of resources and theory and ultimately answering your research question.
Draft Assessment
For this unit only, you are permitted to submit a larger part of your assessment as a draft. Once you have written Learning Outcome 1 and 2 of your research project, you should submit what you have as a draft in the link provided in your assessment centre.
Your Associate Tutor will review this draft and mark it as “Reviewed”. You should take on board any feedback or actions set by your Associate Tutor before continuing with the rest of your project. Your draft will not be marked, but you will be given feedback on critical errors.
