Goal statement: To develop a process that allows Petal (the company) to predict shipment and revenue fluctuations for Clients by using PO and PPA data.

Background:

The core of Petal's Hospital Freight Management Product is to ensrue that Vendors ship using the Petal program.

Petal manages Inbound Parcel(UPS/FedEx) shipments from over 7,500 unique Vendors used by its Clients.

-These shipments are destined to voer 250 hospital and healthcare clients.

-Detailed shipment data is captured weekly via Parcel Carrier billings and managed at both a vendor and client level.

PO data stores what the client ordered. PPA data stores what the client paid in shipping costs outside of Petal.

 

Theory:

The ability to establish baseline performance, as well as upper and lower control limits would allows Petal to quickly identify exceptions.

Historical shipping data will be include to correlate the PO and PPA data against actual shipment data to review actual fluctuations(predictions), timeliness of the fluctuations, and degree(confidence) in the fluctuations.

-Scaled over all vendors and clients, a statistically reliable process would dramatically improve productivity and business performance.
