Research Question: Is a colored movie poster or a black & white movie poster more likely to grab an individual’s attention and motivate them to watch the movie?

Research Hypothesis: A colored movie poster is more likely to grab an individual’s attention and motivate them to watch the movie compared to a black and white movie poster.

 

2. What is the IV and how are you manipulating it?

IV: Identical movie posters (Avengers); manipulated for color vs black and white

3. What is the DV(s)? Give one or two examples?

DVs: On a scale of 1-5 how attention-grabbing is this movie poster? On a scale of 1-5 how likely are you to watch this movie based on this poster?
