1. This project is individual.

2. You will write a research paper.

3. You will provide 5 to 7 slides to present your project.

4. Write your applications and title of the papers in the discussion board. By doing this you are reserving the papers so no one can use them again.

5. Use single space 12 pt Times New Roman font, 1 inch margin word document

Project:

1. Each student will write ONE literature review paper.

2. Each student will select two papers (Scientific Articles) on two different areas of application (i.e., Health Care, Energy, Transportation, Scheduling, Network, etc).

3. Papers should be very recent (i.e., 2014 and above).

4. Read and summarize the purpose, main points, and OR tool. 5.You can select the articles by searching the following website by reviewing journals, 6.All reports must follow specified formats.

Before starting your project:

1. Make sure that you reserve the papers via the blackboard in the discussion board.

2.By doing this, you are reserving the papers so no one can use them again.

3.Write the name of the applications and the title of the three papers that you will use in your project.

Guidance for your report writing

1. Project Title (this should be your applications) For example: Using IP in the transportation and healthcare.

2. Abstract (no more than 300 words)

3. Literature Review (write 2 pages only)

4. Applications, i.e., your paper are on tow different areas of application (write 2 pages only)

5. Tools and Solution Methods, i.e., LP, IP, MIP, Simplex, type of the solver in the software etc. (write 2 pages only)

6. Findings, i.e., how did they achieve the objective function(s) (write 1 page only)

7. What I learn from this project? (write 1 page only)

8. Discussion, i.e., sensitivity analysis etc. (write 2 pages only)

9. Conclusion, i.e., summarize the applications, methods, findings, and your learning (write 1 page only)

10. References (three papers (Scientific Articles) on two different areas of application)

Note that, use MLA style for writing your report and citation.
