Work Package 1
Weighting: 30%
Requirement: You are required to use a selection of data sets provided on the Moodle page in association with the Tableau software package to create a comprehensive visualization of the data contained within.
Please note that a visualisation from each submitted project will go on public display after the grading has been completed. With that in mind please ensure that your name and course code are included in each Slide Title. To do this, edit the slide title and insert under the title, using Tableau Regular font size 8 something like the following:
John Doe Masters of Business
The number of visualisations required depends upon your ability to demonstrate the range of techniques covered and the complexity of the visualisations created. You should use the marking scheme below to guide you in the level of visualisations required to satisfy the requirements of the assignment.
Mode: This is an individual project.
Details: The objective of this assignment is for the student to demonstrate to the best of their ability their skills and knowledge of data visualisation using the Tableau software package.
Students should take the provided data sets and use Tableau to create a wide ranging set of visualisations including but not limited to individual graphs, dashboards and stories. Support for this element can be found on the Moodle page (Videos and Transcripts) and on the Tableau web site (www.tableau.com).
Deliverables: A tableau packaged workbook file (.twbx) that contains all of the individual students work.
NOTE: It is very important that it is a tableau packaged workbook that is submitted as this includes both the graphics and the associated images. If a workbook is submitted only then the graphics will not display or work and the project will automatically get a fail grade. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they submit the correct file. Please test it before you submit the file to ensure that you are submitting the correct version.
Each document must be an original piece of work. The TUDublin –
Blanchardstown Campus policy with regard to plagiarism and late submissions will be applied.
