An Evaluation of Supervised Learning Models and Their Classification Capability
TASK
For your video presentation, you are to present your findings from Assignment 2. The recording must be submitted via the Panopto link on Blackboard, instructions for which are provided in the Assignment 3 folder. Please make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
This is the final assessment for the unit, and the due date is Sunday of Week 13 on 7 Jun 2020 before midnight.
Video Presentation Checklist
1. Your video presentation must include a set of presentation slides. The content of the slides must include, but not restricted to, the following:
a. Introduction – Introduce the purpose of the work to be presented, including a brief background to the problem.
b. Objective – Outline the objective of the work to be presented.
c. Methodology – Provide a brief description of the data and the relevant variables. Then outline the models to be compared, the optimisation process, and the relevant performance measures.
d. Results – Outline the performance results of your models for each test set.
e. Discussion – Discuss and compare the performances of your models.
f. Recommendation – Provide a recommendation of the optimal model with appropriate justification(s).
There is no restriction to number of slides one can use for this presentation.
2. Your video presentation must include a headshot of yourself in the video capture unless there is an exceptional reason and is supported by a Learning Assessment Plan (LAP). 20% is automatically deducted from your final mark if this is not included in your video presentation. To enable self-capture in Panopto, go to Primary Sources > Video > Microsoft Camera Front.
If you choose to record with another application, you must make sure that this feature is included.
3. Your video presentation must be between 7 – 10 minutes long.
Academic Misconduct

Assignment Extensions
Applications for extensions must be completed using the ECU Application for Extension form, which can be accessed online.
Before applying for an extension, please check out the ECU Guidelines for Extensions which details circumstances that can and cannot be used to gain an extension. For example, normal work commitments, family commitments and extra-curricular activities are not accepted as grounds for granting you an extension of time because you are expected to plan ahead for your assessment due dates.
Please submit applications for extensions via email to both your tutor and the Unit Coordinator.
Where the assignment is submitted no more than 7 days late, the penalty shall, for each day that it is late, be 5% of the maximum assessment available for the assignment. Where the assignment is more than 7 days late, a mark of zero shall be awarded.
