1. Decision question:  Has the level of overall financial knowledge of college students increased in the last 3 years? Three years ago it was 5.0. 

Research question: Tests a hypothesis to determine if the average financial knowledge of students is more than 5.0.

2. Decision question: What are the key variables that influence a student’s overall financial knowledge

Research question: Determine if race, thinking patterns such as rational and emotional, & parental advice about managing finances have any influence on students overall financial knowledge.

 

3. Decision question: Has the level of student loan debt changed in the last 3 years? Three years ago, 80% of students had less than $25,000 student loan debt

 

Research question: Determine if the level of student loan debt has changed in the last 3 years if 80% of the students attending college three years ago had less than $25,000 debt 

4. Decision question: What are the key variables that relate to the student loan debt level of college students?

Research question: Determine if demographic variables such as gender and race, parental advice about managing finances, & perception of college debt such as the benefits and costs of obtaining student loans have any relationship with the debt level of college students.

 

5. Decision question:  Is the level of overall financial knowledge is different for those students with less debt compared to those students with more debt?

Research question: Determine if the level of overall financial knowledge is different for those students with less debt (less than $25,000) compared to those students with more debt ($25,000 or more)?

 

6. Develop a model (the best possible model) that predicts the overall financial knowledge of college students.  Make sure you state it and tell why the model you have selected is the best model.
