Note how the excel file and the Tableau file are set up differently. Excel uses unpivoted data, while Tableau uses pivoted data for date analysis. You can create this story either in Excel or in Tableau - your choice. You do NOT have to use Tableau Story Points for this assignment, this story is told with one visualization. Your goal is to create a story with a single visualization. There are many stories in this data. So, explore the data with many visualizations, and pick an angle. Since this is our first story, here are some suggestions for angles you can work on: Do you want to show the changes over all the years? Just compare groups for one year? Use only the start and the end years? Each of these will probably need different visualizations Do you want to show the story of what is happening with Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Others? Or do you want to just show the competition between the two big players, Pizza Hut and Domino's? Or do you want to focus on Pizza Hut alone and show Pizza Hut vs Domino's and Others grouped together? Or do you want to focus on Domino's alone and combine the others? Or do you want to show the story of Others as opposed to the two major players? Your angle can only be decided after you explore the data with visualizations - you will see certain trends emerge and then have to make a decision on what you want to focus Create ONE final visualization to tell your story. If you are using Tableau, you may want to create your visualization in a sheet and then create a dashboard with your single visualization as the dashboard allows you additional flexibility over formatting - moving legend containers around, adding textboxes etc). Somethings like annotations will have to be added in the sheet. Do not forget to focus on design - recall all the design principles we have discussed - eliminating clutter, preattentive attributes, titles, where labels go, color, axes, annotations, data viz choice etc. Make each choice deliberately and with reason. Submission: An Excel file or a .twbx file.
