INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

Your final semester project is individual and your dataset must be unique, you should prepare a 15 minute presentation (12-15 slides is good). Ideally, you will continue advancing the dataset you selected for part II of your midterm exam and improve on your midterm answers. I will cover presentation tips to help you present the highlights of your project. You will record your semester presentation with your camera on and slides shared. Please note: I will share a Zoom recording with additional references on 11/20/2021 and a more detailed grading rubric as a reference. Presentation Format (12-15 slides recommended: 12-15 minutes talk time): Slide 1: background and problem to solve (research questions) that your project addressed. Slide 2-3: discuss the dataset and descriptive statistics (key attributes) of the dataset with some tabular data. The link to the dataset should be at the bottom of the slide(s). Slide 4-5: share some observations about the data or criteria to filter/cleanse. Slide 6-7: introduce the methods you used (types or charts/scripts or Gephi). Slide 8-10: present the main results. Slide 11-12: share conclusions and next steps including references to your dataset. The above is simply a guide to help you organize. Graphics and data are more meaningful than bulleted points. Final zipped file must include: 1. PowerPoint slides. 2. Recorded presentation (link from Zoom) with your camera on and included in your recording. 3. Your Gephi project and files or your R Studio project and files. Your social network diagram must be created in Gephi or in R Studio using the iGraph package.
