Are you going to tell the story of a particular product in the Coffee chain

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

In this assignment, we are going to craft a story on the Coffee Chain using Tableau Story Points. Instructions: Your story should have at least four story points with visualizations. You can have additional story points with images, Big Idea etc. As I mention in Video 4, you have more flexibility over formatting when you put your visualizations in dashboards. Each dashboard should only have one or at most two visualizations. Avoid interactivity or use it minimally (no more than one filter and only occasionally). First pick the angle you want to focus your narrative on. Be specific, we are not trying to summarize what is going on with the coffee chain. Are you going to tell the story of a particular product in the Coffee chain? Are you going to focus on the story of a particular measure and how it has changed over time and place? Or focus on a particular region and why it is is different from other regions? The third step would be to build a narrative. Storyboarding your individual story points with actual pencil and paper and Post It notes really helps at this step. The beginning sets the context and a hook , the middle offers supporting details and an aha moment/climax if available, the end has a call to action or suggestions, or next steps. The next step is focused on creating the visualization (s). In storytelling (explanatory data visualization) the focus is on design. Visualization selection, titles, color, annotations, preattentive attributes, gestalt principles are all important in clearly bringing the narrative out. Here are a couple of other Tableau story examples: https://tableaupicasso.com/capital-punishment-in-the-united-states/ Go to Tableau Public and search for Story. There are tons of examples, some good, some bad. At this point, you will be able to differentiate between the good and the bad :) Submit a .twbx workbook file
