I have already run frequencies and histograms for my dependent and independent variables. What I need done now is:
1. Look at the frequencies and determine whether you need to do any recoding.
2. Create some type of summary description table of your variables using the appropriate measures of central tendency and dispersion (you may use charts and graphs in addition to your table).
3. Conduct bivariate analyses to determine the relationship between each of your independent and control variables and your dependent variable using the appropriate measure of association or difference (hint: look at the level of measurement for each variable).
a. Test the assumptions of the statistical test if appropriate (e.g. linearity, normality).
4. Write up the results of your bivariate analyses. Be sure to include, for each bivariate comparison, the test you used, the test result, and your interpretation of those results.
