Purpose
The purpose of this project is to apply what we have learned in Business Forecasting Techniques to a real life scenario. Students will demonstrate forecasting methods in a meaningful, relevant, and responsive way by utilizing tools and techniques from the course materials. Students will be given the data set and perform required analysis. This is an individual project – no collaboration with other students.
Scope
Complete two case studies in the textbook using SPSS. The data files for those two cases can be found on D2L-Content -Data-Hanke_dataset.
• Multiple regression analysis, CASE 7-2 (AAA WASHINGTON), pages 328 – 330
o Answer all 4 questions completely and include the output from SPSS
• The Box-Jenkins (ARIMA) Methodology, CASE 9-1 (RESTAURANT SALES), pages 457 to 459
