Under the name HOBBIT, a group of entrepreneurs is considering opening a new upmarket restaurant.  Before deciding whether to go ahead with investment commissioned research in the form of an electronic survey amongst a cross section of people living within 50 miles of the planned restaurant.  The HOBBIT dataset contains replies to the survey questions.

1. Do the data offer evidence to support the claim that female respondents prefer waterfront view more than male respondents? (25 marks)

2. The expectation is that those with higher level of education will have higher pre-tax income1.  Is this expectation supported by the data? (25 marks)

3. Using the six preference variables (i.e., waterfront view to prefer unusual entrees) construct a predictive model of the total amount spend per month in restaurants.  Comment on your solution. (50 marks)
