 For this Assignment, using the Forest Fires dataset, you will use the CHAID technique to predict a fire using all other variables in the dataset as predictors. You will compare the results of the CART technique (that you used in Assignment 1) and the CHAID technique. You will then explain and evaluate the results using evidence from your results/data to support you.

Review the Forest Fires dataset that your Instructor has uploaded to the DocSharing area, and import it into SPSS for this Assignment.

Note: You may choose to work with a partner for this Assignment. This is optional.

ASSIGNMENT: (1–2 PAGES FOR ANALYSIS AND 1–2 PAGES FOR OUTPUT/RESULTS)

Use the Forest Fires dataset in SPSS.

Note: This dataset contains data on forest fires in the U.S. with associated environmental conditions.

Use the CHAID technique to predict a fire (fire) using all other variables in the dataset as predictors.

Note: Each variable is described in its label.

Compare the results of the CART technique (that you used in Assignment 1) and the CHAID technique.

Provide a thorough analysis of your results. Use evidence from your results/data to support your explanation.

Include both your written analysis and your data output/results for this Assignment.
