This week we will start using Tableau for data visualizations. Tableau allows not only to build visualizations from a single dataset but to combine datasets prior to visualizing them. The assignment is to visualize peach growing in Missouri, and the number of farmers markets where those peaches can be potentially sold.
List of Farmers market in Missouri: Missouri Farmers's Markets To obtain the information about number of farms in the areas and crop productions use USDA crop acreage dataset: Crop Acreage Data Directions Prepare data using the two datasets given above. Build a visualization in Tableau that would show (no map should be used) a distribution of peach manufacturers and the production of peaches in Missouri by county, and the number of farmers markets in those counties.
In the comment of your submission, answer the following: Based on your visual, where would you invest in peach farm and why. Note that the dataset gives information on different types of peaches, use your best judgement on how to handle it. The submission format is *.twbx, and you can save your workbook into that project using File->Export Packaged Workbook. links to files are below. https://data.mo.gov/Agriculture/Missouri-Farmers-Markets/2zg8-cta8/data https://www.fsa.usda.gov/news-room/efoia/electronic-reading-room/frequently-requested-information/crop-acreage-data/index
