ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS:
This reassessment project is a subset of the whole group project undertaken previously, focussing only on the analytics and interpretation of results that were in the previous group project. You only need to write up an Abstract, Methods, and Results section.

NB: A supplementary materials file containing the Codebook for this dataset (PDF File, Filename: “Codebook ESS Data CA 2019”) is also available on Moodle. It is essential that you consult this file in order to understand the dataset presented.
The data selected for use in this assignment is sourced from the European Social Survey (ESS) which provides data on a range of issues across the EU community. The dataset presented to you comprises a sample of persons aged 15 and over, residents within private households in Ireland who participated in the survey. The dataset contains a selected set of 21 variables from the overall ESS dataset, concerning demographic factors as well as health, activity, work, and wellbeing variables. The codebook is essential in terms of understanding the dataset, so please read it carefully.
Note: For the purposes of this assignment, I have created a cut-down version of this dataset which contains only 21 variables, adds bespoke data for this project, and removes cases that have missing data for relevant quantitative variables. Also, for simplicity, the number of respondents (i.e. the size of the sample) is reduced to 100.
You have been asked to consider at least 8 variables of your choice from the dataset and to use the data to create a statistical report and supporting infographic about any topic/questions of your choice.
Of the minimum of 8 variables, at least one variable must be quantitative and at least one variable must be categorical/ordinal.

(a) Compile a report to include:
a. An Abstract, containing a brief justification of your chosen topic of analysis, approx. 200 words.
b. A Methods section, containing a brief description of the statistical methods used, approx. 200 words.
c. A Results section, approx. 600 words containing:
(i) key results in tabular and graphical form.
(ii) A brief discussion/analysis of main findings, creating a narrative around the results.
(iii) Data work and Statistical Analysis you will need to execute the following tasks:
a. At least 6 different graphics of your choice (bear in mind the scale of measurement when selecting). At least 2 of the graphics should be scatterplots with a regression equation. NOTE: All graphs must be original productions. Students may NOT use reproductions of graphs from other sources.
b. Representation of at least 2 variables in a table format, featuring two variables of your choice.
c. Descriptive Statistics including a measure(s) of central tendency and measure(s) of dispersion for at least 4 selected variables with appropriate narrative.
d. Regression analysis and significance testing for a minimum of 2 relationships (including R2 , interpretation)
