Late penalties
• A penalty of five per cent of the available marks for each calendar day late after the specified submission date.
• An assignment submitted more than seven days after the specified submission date is given zero marks unless it is under an extension or deferral.

Other General Requirements
• Email submissions will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
• Each assessment should be packaged as one single file and then submitted via the link provided through the course study desk.
• All assessment items are individual submissions
• You are encouraged to discuss the assessment requirements with others to improve your understanding and clarify requirements, but you will develop the solutions to the assessment items on your own.
• The analysis will be in the context of the selected organization in the industry mentioned below. You are expected to select an organization in the industry mentioned below to fulfil the requirements of this assessment.
• You are expected to write a thoroughly researched/analysed critical business reports.
• You are required to thoroughly research your work and provide citations and references for all information used as per the USQ Referencing guidelines (Harvard referencing format is the acceptable standard)

• You assume the responsibility to ensure the report you are producing is of high quality, including plagiarism and collision checks. You do NOT need to produce a plagiarism report with the assessment. However, the markers will undertake these checks (using any tools that you have access to), and if any integrity issues are found you will be awarded a score of zero and the work will constitute ‘Academic Misconduct.
• The assessment submission website will be closed after five working days so that the assignments can be distributed to markers.
• Any queries regarding these assessments will be closed two working days before the submission date.
• Please be aware that the MS project software you will need to use for your assessment is a free trial and the trial period may expire before you submit your assessment if you start using it too early. Much of the preliminary work such as planning etc., can be undertaken with software other than MS project and a pen and paper.

The objective of this assessment is to assess your understanding of ICT project management concepts and your proficiency in using various ICT project management skills. In particular, the assessment focuses on the following project management knowledge areas in the PMBOK:
• Team Management and ethical considerations
• Project integration management,
• Project scope management,
• Project schedule management,
• Project cost management
Report 2 Description
This is a follow-up to Report 1. As such it uses the same scenario, and you are to use the same organization you have selected for the fulfilment of the report 1 requirements. The management and board of your selected organization in the previous report have approved your planning document and they have now asked you to complete the requirement of the second phase. This part will be presented to CEO as a professional business report.
Detailed Project (PM Written Report) – (marked out of 100) Due Dates: Refer to the course website.
The objective of this assessment is to assess your understanding of ICT project management concepts and your proficiency in using various ICT project management skills. In particular, the assessment focuses on the following project management knowledge areas in the PMBOK:
• Project quality management,
• Project HR management,
• Project communication management,
• Project risk management
• Project procurement management
• Project stakeholder management
In this phase of the assessment, you must address each of the following requirements adequately:
1. Executive Summary (150 words only) – provide a summary of the report for the CEO to read first. This is a vital component of any business report as aims to persuade the decision makers to read the larger work in the report and provides a summary of what is contained in the report.
2. Background (250 words only) – to provide synthesis analysis for the detailed project plan provide an overview of the initial project plan (from Report 1), briefly including the following.
i. A brief overview of the organization and the implementation/integration of the AI based applications/technology solution being implemented.
ii. In addition, provide a summary of the key findings and recommendations from the Initial Project Plan, including the management of the project.
iii. Outline the key project milestones and identify dates for completion of each milestone.
3. Project Sponsor Briefing (300 words only) – provide critical analysis for the sponsor of the project. This section includes an overview of the key activities/ deliverables involved in the project management process groups for this project from the project sponsor's perspective.
4. Project Selection (500 words only) – having a transparent and fair vendor/supplier selection process is extremely critical for the success of your project. For this project:
i. Developing a selection process, and discussing key requirements and their justification
ii. Create a project selection template using a weighted scoring model. Ensure the
criteria used in the project selection template includes the Net Present Value and Return on Investment.
iii. Provide justifications for the inclusion of the criteria used in the project selection template and the weightings that have been assigned for each.
iv. Complete an assessment of the selected implementation/integration of the AI based applications/technology solution using the template created.
v. Provide a summary of the assessment and how well the selected implementation/integration of the AI based applications/technology solution meets the project selection criteria.
5. Quality Management (600 words only) – ensuring the quality of the project is vital and often impacts the acceptance of the project by stakeholders. Therefore, it is important to ensure quality is managed well for this project. This detailed project plan includes the following critical aspects of quality management:
i. Create a quality management plan. This should include key quality metrics (which were identified in Report 1) and a brief explanation of each metric.
ii. In the quality management plan, ensure it outlines at a high level:
a. How quality will be managed. Include an overview of the testing to be undertaken and quality reports that may be produced.
b. How quality will be controlled. This includes selecting a tool/technique for quality control, providing justification for using this tool/technique and an overview of how it can help improve quality and quality control for this project.
c. Explain key metrics to be used to measure quality.
